Sewer pond ducks

Sighting

Seen on evening walks last two days at the Bishop sewer ponds: 1 male wood duck, 1 female and 1 that was juv I guess. Oddly (to me) they were up on the bank out of the water. Also shovelers, ruddys, etc, a loggerhead shrike, and a great horned owl. We were outside the fence looking in through a scope from the top of the dead front end loader on the south side of the complex...If they'd cut down a few more trees the viewing would be better from this spot...
