Peregrine, Chat, Waterthrush

From: Tom and Jo Heindel

Comments

An immature Peregrine added some excitement to an otherwise yawning day by causing a near heart attack in a coot who was trying to dive underwater even though it was only a few inches deep! Coot 1 Peregrine 0. Had a female Yellow-breasted Chat and a Northern Waterthrush at the "southern pond" at North Haiwee Reservoir. Wind started very early and there were only 5 species of shorebirds on Owens Lake. It's the pause before the flood of migrants!
