Black-backed Lesser Goldfinch in Bishop

We fancied upon this beautiful male bird behind our new house in meadowcreek feeding on native sunflowers with a "normal" green-backed lesser goldfinch. It also fed on a bit of thistle. Hooray for weeds! (not). We imagine this is the same bird the Parker's had down the street last week.
