Mountain Plovers at Tinemaha Reservoir

This morning there were 7 species of shorebirds at Tinemaha Reservoir including 4 Mountain Plovers. This is the sixth sighting for this rare/casual species this fall. Five have been found in the Owens Valley and one at Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley. The water at Tinemaha is starting to rise.
