Bird was found in "C" Ditch, which flows under Dixon Lane and continues north to flow under Riverside Dr. The area is just west of the corrals on Riverside Dr., which intersects with Brockman Ln at the west end and 5 Bridges Rd. on the east end. The habitat is excellent, with the ditch full of floating mats of duck weed (which the bird likes to stand on)cattails, and muck. With its brown auricular patch, and other marks I think it's a first year bird. Jim, Chris and John have all gotten to see it so far.
