On Sat a group scoured Diaz Lake, Haiwee Reservoir and Owens Lake. Judy Wickman found a Pacific Loon the 4th record this year. A Merlin, late Tree Swallows and an immature Golden-crowned Sparrow were the rest of the best. California and Ring-billed Gulls were studied as well as hundreds of shorebirds mostly Least and Western but some Dunlins, Willets and Snipe. Mountain Bluebirds were finally seen by all and it did not blow hard until at the end!
