The Rufous-backed Robin found yesterday at Furnace Creek Ranch by Tom Wurster was still there today, Sunday. This is the second record for the county...the first one was in 1983. It is eating dates behind the residence just south of the horseshoe area (northwest of the Post Office). As if that wasn't enough while we were looking and photographing the robin Wurster called out "Bay-breasted Warbler!" Sure enough...the 14th record for the county, 8th in fall and none have been reported since 1982. Cheers, T&J
