Lewis' Woodpecker near Independence

Comments

A Lewis' Woodpecker was hunting from fence posts and telephone poles just west of the Indpendence sewer ponds at 9 a.m. Sunday, 4/22. I watched it pull a worm from a crack in a telephone pole. A Lewis' has been seen off-and-on in the same general area since mid-March.
