Sanderling & Lesser Goldfinch, black-backed

On 19 May a rare Sanderling was at Klondike Lake while a black-backed Lesser Goldfinch was at our feeders in Big Pine. This race is probably a vagrant from Mexico and is seen every second or third year in the last decade.
