We have a male Hooded Oriole feeding on Cape Honeysuckle in our backyard in Fountain Valley, CA (Orange County) Forty miles S\E of L.A. He seems to be permanent resident. We have since gotten an Oriole feeder and are hoping to see him and his mate for some time. This is the first Oriole I have seen in this area in over 30 years.
