Today, Nov 20th, a male White-winged Scoter was at Tinnemaha Res. It was along the west side opposite the second pullout north of the south gate, the one near the dam. A dipper was below the dam. Another dipper was at the footbridge at N. Haiwee Res yesterday. Also today a Merlin was along Fish Springs Rd near the stacks of hay bales. An adult Swamp Sparrow was at Olancha Marsh yesterday. It was located near where the water enters the ares, near the barbed wire fence. Surprisedly there were NO avocets at Cottonwood Marsh yesterday or today.
