Ruddy Ground-Doves, Aleutian Canada Geese, etc.

On Thanksgiving Day, Robbie Fischer and I saw 5 Ruddy Ground-Doves (3 males and 2 females) at Furnace Creek Ranch. They were at the 16th tee of the Golf Course adjacent to the 700 building of the motel complex. Also of interest were two Aleutian Canada Geese (B. c. leucopareia) on the golf course. We also saw a White-throated Sparrow in the date grove, 2 Wood Ducks and a male Vermilion Flycatcher at the south sewer pond. A Horned Grebe and Clark's Grebe were in the NW most pond.
