Description

Mike San Miguel and I birded the Bishop area and points South on Monday(Dec 2). Highlights included the HY Northern Shrike on Dixon lane (thanks to Debby Parker who helped us locate this bird). We also saw the Osprey at Mill Pond, an adult light morph Rough-legged Hawk flying over the Nik & Nik gravel ponds. The HY White-winged Scoter continued on Tinemaha Resevoir, but there was no sign of the Long-tailed Duck seen a few days ago. There were about 75 Mountain Bluebirds along Steward Road. Little Lake was loaded with Canvasback, and we counted 235. Todd McGrath
