Description

Lee Vining's Barshe and Kelly found Short-eared Owls at DeChambeau Ponds a day or two ago, and I wandered over and found one, a male, testing the sanity of a young harrier. I also came across a female Hooded Merganser, the first I've seen in the Mono Basin.
