Rough-legged Hawk over Meadowcreek today

Sighting

We watched a raven chasing a hawk and grabbed binos as they moved closer seeing the Rough-legged well with its black belly, carpal marks at the wrist of the wing and pale leading edge to the wing. White base to tail and a single dark tail-band as in a female. Probably a juvenile as the trailing edge to underwing was dusky. Last year these were very scarce, hope we see more this winter.
