Sighting

This morning (Saturday, 26 November 2005), Les and I and several friends were with Rich Stallcup when he spotted a female Black Scoter and a female-plumaged Surf Scoter on Bridgeport Reservoir, Mono County. Both birds were viewed from the boat ramp at the fishing access off Highway 182 south of milepost 4.0. Also present in the area were several Greater Scaup and at least 2 Common Goldeneye, along with the more expected species. Cindy Lieurance San Francisco
