Myiarchus flycatcher in BishopObservers: J. Zatorski SightingEasy ID-ed as a Myiarchus. Medium sized bill. Crest on head not real big. Breast light gray, and belly light yellow. In flight tail was nice cinnamon brown with yellow edges. Heindel graphs show Dusky-capped in the county this time of year, but the over all size and the tail color was not that of a DCFL. My best guess is an Ash-throated Flycatcher. No vocalizations were heard. The location the bird was spotted was at the corner of Willow and 3rd Sts. in Bishop. It was foraging with a flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers in Silver Maple and Weeping Willow. Copyright Eastern Sierra Audubon Society. All Rights Reserved.
