Sighting

First-winter Herring Gull seen yesterday flying north beside the highway as we drove south for the Owen's rewatering ceremony, just north of the turnout. Coffee-with-cream colored plumage, large size, and i think i saw the pale inner primaries. And did you hear NPR this morning? Brian Tillemans saw a Sora while walking with the journalists as the water crept down the river channel at the Blackrock ditch.
