Sighting

Hi all, After the Western Field Ornithologists meeting in Las Vegas Guy McCaskie, Jon Feenstra and I birded Furnace Creek Ranch on Sunday. Highlights were an adult Broad-winged Hawk being chased by a Cooper's Hawk at the pro shop. A Lewis's Woodpecker and at least three Cassin's Finches were in the date palm orchard. At the Inn we found a bright male Prothonotary Warbler. Mike San Miguel Arcadia CA
