Willet-sized wader on Owens RiverObservers: Louis Roth SightingThere were two bird in the middle of the river on sand bars and in the shallows upstream and downstream from the hot pools on the river. I saw they had yellow legs and they were the size of a willet. They bobbed their head up and down. made a chirping kind of whistle call. sorry I can't be more specific - did not have glasses or a book on this trip. Copyright Eastern Sierra Audubon Society.
