American Goldfinches are back


		Eastern Sierra Audubon Society Welcoming backyard birdwatchers and everyone interested in preserving the natural beauty of Inyo and Mono Counties, the Eastern Sierra Audubon Society is devoted to fostering a deeper appreciation of wild birds and their habitats, reaching out to youth through education, and providing a community through monthly presentations and field trips.

American Goldfinches are back

Yesterday we had our first American Goldfinches for this Fall coming into our thistle feeders. They were heard first giving their "po-tat-o-chip" call notes as they flew over the yard. They are so much bigger than the LEGOs, they really stand out. We've been having Pine Siskins too and last week some Cassin's Finches.
