Sparrows etc. Furnace Creek Ranch

We spent a few hours birding Furnace Creek Ranch this morning (28 Oct). Good birds were a female Vermilion Flycatcher near the observation platform; a Pink-sided Junco in the date palms; a female Phainopepla; ~8 Lewis's Woodpeckers; 2 White-throated Sparrows (one at the Inn, one at the Ranch); a columbarius Merlin; and at the Inn: a Clay-colored Sparrow; a Golden-crowned Sparrow; and a Brown Creeper.
