Sighting

Jan 18 '08 midday a Merlin Falcon swooped down to grab a House Sparrow with a loud Killdeer sound. Then a Raven chased the Merlin away. But it returned and perched in the conifer where I could see its white throat and white chest bib. Sighting was in town at the forest edge on the meadow side of Mammoth.
