Eurasian Wigeon @ Nik & Nik ponds

On March 9, 2008 at about 1:10 PM, one male EUWI seen at the west pond with two other AMWI. Head and neck all caramel brown, cranial line buffy white, bill medium gray with dark nail, eye light yellowish with black eye-ring. Body medium gray, breast up to neck and forward flanks salmon-pink. Wing feathers mostly dark gray to black, primaries black with clean white edges. Ventral area black with a white patch at the waterline just in front of the vent area. Bird hanging out with two American Wigeon (1 male & 1 female). Photos:
