Sighting

This afternoon (30 March) we were greeted by an adult light-morph Swainson's Hawk soaring over highway 395 with long pointed wings, 1 mile south of the Keough's turnoff. Entirely creamy coverts with contrasting dark flight feathers. This is our first of spring and pretty much right on schedule for migration. The hummingbird feeders in our yard attracted 2 Rufous (male and female), a female Anna's, a male Costa's and possibly a female Costa's.
