Sighting

Just east of 395, heard the distinctive downward spiraling raspy whistle ending in a jumbled warble. After a few moments the somewhat dull gray-brown birds were seen singing from the tops of the brush. Also had a Leconte's Thrasher singing which seems a bit late for them to be singing as they are usually on nests by late March. Also heard many Sage Sparrows singing their raspy version of the Western Meadowlark song.
