Yesterday an immature female Vermilion Flycatcher was found by Andrew and Leah Kirk and Bob Hudson in Independence. We refound it today and while there a Merlin made a one time circling pass. Later Bob Hudson found a Franklin's Gull at the Independence Sewer Ponds the earliest record ever for Inyo County.
