3 Hooded Mergansers on Grant Lake (one male) and a Hooded Oriole at the Mono Vista RV park in Lee Vining. Anyone know what the deal is with the Hooded Mergansers this year? Are there any other recent records of them in Mono County? Gaines' book only cites 4 records thru '92--all females. Hooded Merganser were on April 12 and Oriole was April 13.
