South Shore of Mono--East of Navy Beach 18 Long-billed Curlews, 5 Black-bellied Plovers, 5 Willets, a few Least/Western Sandpipers, and a pair of Black-necked Stilts with chicks. Last week their were still Snowy Plovers with eggs in nests along the north shore--second clutch? One active nest is right at the pre-diversion 6417' lake level on black cinders well above the alkali flat. Hard-boiled eggs?
