I found a Snow Bunting and a Lapland Longspur among a large group of Horned Larks and Gray-crowned Rosy Finches on Saturday, Feb 10. The Snow Bunting was refound this morning. The birds are in a irrigated field about 2 miles south of Benton and 31 miles north of the 395 along Hwy 6, just beyond the Montgomery Creek Ranch sign. The birds are easily visible from the road. Two other observers saw these birds also.
