This afternoon, 25Feb01, we heard a squronk sound overhead, looked up and saw six Tundra Swans and three geese flying north in a Vee formation. This, while we were censusing beaver dams on the lower Owens River east of Lone Pine. We also were privileged a quick look at a mink bounding over some beaten down cattails.
