There were about a dozen avocets at the Mesquite Spring campground in Death Valley the evening of 5/5. Maybe the same ones?

The mesquite grove at the campground is loaded with yellow warblers plus Wilson's, yellowthroat, yellowheaded blackbirds and lots of others with no yellow at all. Definitely worth a stop. Flowers are still good above about 3000 ft too.
