Black terns at Bishop sewer ponds

Ten adult Black terns in breeding plumage made several flights over the ponds 0845 to 0945 this morning accompanied by 5 Am. avocets. There were more flocks of small ducklings - Wood ducks and Gadwall - on this last day of June.
