Yesterday, 1 Sept., Carolyn, Bob, Mike, Zed(PRBO) and I were watching a Pectoral Sandpiper amongst Bairds, Leasts and Westerns at the Sulfate Well when a Peregrine swooped down and grabbed a presumed Least Sandpiper right in front of us. It landed at a safe distance and began to pluck. Mike and I had 22 Long-billed Curlew total from Keeler and Cottonwood areas. (Carolyn, Zed and Bob did Dirty Socks, Cartago and Tubman.)
