Mill Pond was hoppin today with incredible views of the bittern who was moving in slow motion along the far shore out in the open. Mill Pond also had a possible purple finch near the restroom, lots of birds around. The winter wren was found at the 2nd creek crossing up the Pine Creek Trail above the pack station. Also lots of golden-crowned kinglets along the upper trail too.
