Today I birded at dusk with Kerry Wilcox and Cheyenne Laczek-Johnson (PRBO Snowy plover crew) around Lone Pine and we had an adult dark Swainson's coming down to roost. One of the darkest individuals I've seen. I'm glad to see them back. Also seen were an Orange-crowned warbler (looked like lutescens sub.) and an adult male Rufous hummingbird. oh yeah, a nice group of ~160 White pelicans was also seen stringing over the valley with the Inyo mtns in the background.
