Description

On 9 January a Double-crested Cormorant, rare in winter, was at Klondike Lake. The White-winged Scoter continues at Tinemaha Reservoir. A Merlin, rare in winter, was at Steward Lane. At Tinemaha was a female Goldeneye that could have been a Barrow's based on the amount of yellow on the bill and the dark secondary coverts from above. Hopefully it will remain for a better view. I could not refind it but it could have been in with the 500+ Ruddy Ducks.
