I sighted this bird at 1:50 yesterday afternoon in the Bishop Vons parking lot mingling with the other blackbirds. It was the same size and shape as the other blackbirds. However: 1. The body including the head was irregularly mottled black and white. 2. The eye was white, not yellow or red. 3. The tail had a prominent white longitudinal stripe with black stripes along the edge, the reverse of a Junco pattern. Could this be a case of partial albinism? Is there even such a thing?
