Today at noon Miko's Golden Plovers were still at the Sulfate Well. They were in the salt at the edge of the road when I first saw them but soon went down to the wet area to feed. Barnard would like people to get hard hats and vests at the office if they are going to get out of their vehicles when birding the flood sites. One thing that puzzled me - the black splotches came up right next to the wing, leaving no room for the white stripe of the full alternate plumage. ???
