When a white hummer showed up at our feeder at 6:45 this evening, I headed straight for the camera. In poor light, I managed two photos.  The hummer - I won't attempt to assign it to a species - seemed a bit larger than the Black-chins and Rufous. Wings were pure white. Back was light orange. Eyes were dark. Beak - here I must doubt myself - was also light orange. With luck this special bird will return and stay with us a while.
