While doing an area search for the Point Reyes Bird Observatory I saw 17 ring-billed gulls hanging out with a group of about 250 California gulls. This was at the mouth of Rush Creek on Mono Lake (10 October). Most were adults but there were at least two 1st winter plumage too.
