A 3rd winter Herring Gull was at Stovepipe Wells, 14 Inca Doves at Furnace Creek Ranch (FCR), 2 male Ruddy Ground-Doves at FCR, the latest ever Lesser Nighthawk female seen 10 mi north of Trona (Kelli only on 11th), 24 White-throated Swifts at Stovepipe Wells and 2 more at FCR, 16+ Lewis's Woodpeckers at FCR, 1 female Vermilion Flycatcher at Death Valley Junction, 1 interior Western Scrub-Jay at China Ranch, another at FCR, and 4 at Scotty's Castle, 1 American Crow at Stovepipe Wells, 1 Tree Swallow at FCR, 1 Brown Creeper at China Ranch, 1 Crissal Thrasher at DV Junction, 1 Red (zaboria) Fox Sparrow at FCR, 2 Swamp Sparrows at FCR and 2 White-throated Sparrows at FCR. Great weather: sunny, warm, and not windy and the 49er Days crowds were about gone.
