Sighting

Today Bob and I saw two Western Grebes, rare on the graph for late Dec., at Diaz Lake. We also had really good looks at the mink at the river crossing - pink nose, tiny ears, shiny black button eyes. Zone One of the Owens Lake flood site had 40-50 Least Sandpipers, tons of Horned Larks and a few Pippits and Mountain Bluebirds. Zone Two now has a giant "No Admittance" sign which we didn't cross.
