Sighting

On 25 January a Double-crested Cormorant, rare at this time, was found at Klondike Lake and a Northern Shrike, first report from Inyo this winter, was at Tinemaha Reservoir. The barred breast, narrow mask with white above, and large hooked bill that was pale at the base of the lower mandible was well seen. The bird was on the west shore about 200 yards south of Tinemaha Creek.
