Sighting

On a survey on the Eastern slope of the Whites, a Rose-breasted Grosbeak countersinging with nearby Black-headed Grosbeaks. The territory the RBGR advertised was pretty lame, but it was on it all day, maybe 2 km upstream of the first bridge on Canyon Road. Cottonwood was a happening place, with a territorial Blue Grosbeak besides, and several Warbling Vireos, Western Wood-peewees (or is it pewees??)and surprisingly, two territorial Yellow-breasted Chats.
