This kingbird was still near the wooden bridge at the east end of Jean-blanc rd, about 100 ft. to the S. along a canal & fenceline. He sits near the charred fence posts, which he matches. It must have bathed as it flew up from the water all wet, & proceeded to preen. No wonder, it's hot out there!
