Sighting

This morning I birded lower Lee Vining Creek, from the Picnic Grounds Road ford to the delta. Late birds included two Wilson's Warblers, a Black Phoebe, and a Western Tanager. Ruby-crowned Kinglets are lurking, and a Red-shoulder Hawk circled overhead. There were gobs of Audubon's Warblers, and two subspecies of Orange-crowned Warblers. The Great Basin OCWA subsp (orestera) are nearly gone. For the first time of the season, I couldn't find a Yellow Warbler, though there were 3 Greater Yellowlegs.
