Sighting

Today (12 Oct) at lunch there was a titmouse at Green Gate Cottonwoods. It was busy gleaning insects from grooves in the bark of the cottonwood tree on the south side of Dixon Lane, opposite the green gate entrance. It seemed to associate with a flock of a half-dozen Mountain Chickadees. It was silent. Id agree with Jerry's logic (see his 4 Oct post) that based on range, it was probably a Juniper Titmouse. This is the first time I've seen a titmouse on the valley floor.
