Sighting

The Bay-breasted Warbler, which was a first fall type bird, was found near Hwy 395 at the confluence of Pine Crk & Rock Crk in with a flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers, Mountain Chickadees & a single Yellow Warbler. After all of us got to see her well, Jon found a Black-throated Green Warbler, (a first fall male type) with the same flock near Hwy 395 at the confluence. Chris found a Fox Sparrow, probably the red race, Zaboria, which is not normally found in our area. The rain yesterday probably helped to make the birding so amazing today in Birchim which otherwise has been very quiet. Also a few Hermit Thrushes were in the same area.
