Summer Tanagers were singing today, and there were several Dusky Flycatchers (DUFL whit call, bill size and color too big and orange for Hammond's, too small for Gray), and a singing Lazuli Bunting. I saw my first Black-headed Grosbeak, but my friend Sacha has already seen them in Lee Vining. Yellow Warblers are building nests. Bewick's Wrens and Verdin are feeding young, and there were lots of ugly House Finch fledges crashing into things.
